The 11th National Congress of Gerontology will be held in Kuopio on 10-12 June 2026 under the theme “In the chain of generations.”
We invite you to join us to hear and discuss ageing and older age in a framework of intergenerational solidarity and sustainability. By “chain of generations” we refer both to the relationships between generations and to the continuity of scientific work between researchers in different career stages. Generational chains provide windows for the past, present, and future.
The national multidisciplinary congress takes place every three years and brings together a wide range of experts in gerontology and geriatrics. Gerontology 2026 is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, catch up with old acquaintances, and learn about the latest research in the field.
Gerontology 2026 is organized by the University of Eastern Finland and three associations in the field of gerontology and geriatrics: the Finnish Society for Growth and Ageing Research, Finnish Geriatrics and Societas Gerontologica Fennica.
Stay tuned – Early bird registration opens on 11 November 2025!
